Embedding Facebook Posts - What You Need To Know

Facebook update! ( Yes we are one day late to this party, But as Ke$ha said 'The party don't start till i walk in'...i'm glad no-one invited Ke$ha)

Announced July 31st Facebook has begun the roll out of Embedded Posts. Similarly to Twitter you will now be able to take your favourite posts, pictures and updates and embed them directly onto your website.

Once embedded visitors to your site will be able to share and like directly from the embed. In the privacy matter and those who don’t want their posts being embedded all over peoples blogs and websites you are able to decide which posts are embeddable.

An example of what an embedded post will look like can be seen below.

As you can see the ‘Like Page’ button in the top right hand corner which will appeal to businesses out there looking to increase their Facebook following.

Although this roll out will take some time before it hits the mass market, Facebook have stated that they are working with CNN, Huffington Post, Bleacher Report, People and personal favourites Mashable so that those publications can embed public Facebook posts and use them in their articles.

This is definitely one to keep your eye out for, we will update when we here more and start seeing a larger roll out.

Over To You

Do you think embedding posts will be useful or is it just another fad?
